Background

  • The MyTIGER Values is an art and design competition initiated by Maybank Foundation since 2018 in conjunction with the Global Tiger Day, which is celebrated annually on July 29 with the intention of raising awareness about Tiger Conservation efforts.
  • This year marks the 7th edition of the MyTIGER Values Art Competition, and we are happy to announce that we have extended the competition category to Primary and Secondary school students, on top of University students. This latest schools’ category addition is our answer to extensive demands from the public for us to provide this artistic participation opportunity for all students – aligned with Maybank Foundation’s focus towards three primary pillars; Empowering Education, Community Empowerment, and Environmental Diversity. These pillars guide us as we strive to make a positive impact in the communities we serve, and through initiatives like this Competition, we empower our youths to contribute meaningfully to society and planet, through arts.
  • The foundation of the MyTIGER Values Art Competition is based on Maybank's T.I.G.E.R. core values — Teamwork, Integrity, Growth, Excellence and efficiency, and Relationship building, and in support of the 12 out 17 United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that aims to end poverty, promote planetary health and ensure that communities can enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. The focused goals are namely; no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water, and life on land.
